Welcome

Welcome to Milton Abbot Primary School, a vibrant, friendly and ambitious village school at the heart of its local community. We are committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our children and strive to provide an inspiring curriculum that blends strong academic foundations with creativity, outdoor learning and opportunities to develop character and confidence. Our beautiful rural site and supportive community enable children to flourish in a warm, inclusive environment where every child feels valued and known. As part of the Three Rivers Hub, working in close partnership with Boasley Cross and Lydford Primary Schools, we share expertise and broaden the opportunities available to our pupils. Our connection to the wider Dartmoor Multi Academy Trust enhances this further, ensuring a stable, forward‑thinking approach rooted in collaboration, ambition and care.

We hope you enjoy our new website and please, if you're interested, get in touch to arrange a visit to our unique, (nearly) 200 year old setting!

— Tom Lumby, Executive Headteacher, Three Rivers Hub (DMAT)

It is my pleasure to welcome you to our lovely school.  The children at Milton Abbot are happy, vibrant and enthusiastic learners who love to explore and enquire about the world around them.  This is driven by dedicated staff who have a passion for ensuring the very best for the children’s learning, happiness and wellbeing.  This personalised learning is delivered through high expectations, kindness, and the firm belief that every child deserves to, and can, thrive and be well prepared for their next steps in their education journey.

- Charlotte Mason, Head of School, Milton Abbot Primary
